Ingredients

  • 9 oz. frozen artichoke hearts
  • 1 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. fine, dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. margarine or butter, softened
  • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1/8 tsp. dried marjoram or thyme, crushed
  • 2/3 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook artichoke hearts according to package directions; drain.
  3. Combine Parmesan cheese, dry bread crumbs, and paprika in a bowl.
  4. Stir in the softened margarine or butter until well mixed.
  5. In a skillet, sauté sliced fresh mushrooms until tender.
  6. In a saucepan, prepare a sauce by whisking together flour, Dijon mustard, crushed marjoram or thyme, and milk; cook until thickened.
  7. Place drained artichoke hearts in a baking dish.
  8. Top with sautéed mushrooms and the sauce.
  9. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the top.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
