- Layer the drained fruits in a baking dish, sprinkling each layer with brown sugar, dabs of butter, and slivers of almonds.

- To each fruit layer, add lemon juice and a total of 1/2 cup of sherry.
- Cover the top layer with the crushed macaroons.
- Bake the pudding for 30 minutes and serve hot.
