Baked Sliced Beets

Ingredients

  • 12 medium sized beets, pared and cut into thin slices
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar (optional; or reduce)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. orange juice
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Instructions

  1. Place beets into a greased baking dish.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients (except butter); stir and pour over beets.
  3. Dot beets with butter.
  4. Cover the dish.
  5. Bake beets in a hot oven (400°) for about 30 minutes or until tender.
