Ingredients

  • tomato
  • parmesan cheese
  • onion
  • mayonnaise
  • parsley
  • onion salt

Instructions

  1. Halve the tomatoes and sprinkle with onion salt and herbs.
  2. Place the tomatoes in a Pyrex dish and put in a warm oven (275° to 300°F) for 5 minutes.
  3. Set aside and allow to cool.
  4. Mix mayonnaise, chopped onion, and Parmesan cheese; spoon the mixture over the cooled tomatoes.
  5. Just before serving, place the dish under the broiler until the topping is puffed and lightly browned, about 3 to 5 minutes.
