Ingredients

  • 1/4 cups Sugar
  • 3 cups Self-Rising Flour
  • 1/2 cups Butter, Plus More For Greasing The Pan And A Few More Pats For Topping
  • 12 ounces, fluid Wells Banana Bread Beer (or Any Other Kind)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a standard loaf pan with butter and set aside. In a large mixing bowl combine the flour and sugar. Cut the butter into pats and alternate forking it into the dry ingredients with the beer. Combine until moistened; the dough should be sticky not runny. Pour the dough into the loaf pan, and top with a few more pats of butter. Stick it in the oven and bake for 1 hour. Place on a rack to cool. Serve hot with more butter.
