Ingredients

  • 8 large bananas, mashed
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Mash the bananas in a bowl.
  2. Pour lemon juice over the mashed bananas.
  3. Cook the mixture on low heat, stirring constantly until bubbling.
  4. You can also cook in the microwave if preferred.
  5. Spread the hot banana mixture onto the cake layers while still warm.
