Ingredients

  • 6 pan dressed trout
  • 2/3 c. soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. crushed dried rosemary
  • lemon wedges (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place trout in a single layer in a plastic bag or glass baking dish.
  2. Combine the soy sauce, ketchup, lemon juice, vegetable oil, and crushed dried rosemary.
  3. Pour the mixture into the bag or dish.
  4. Cover the bag or dish and let the trout marinate for 1 hour, turning once.
  5. Remove the fish, reserving the marinade.
  6. Place the fish in a single layer in a well-greased hinged wire grill basket.
  7. Grill the trout, covered, over medium coals for 8 to 10 minutes or until browned on the bottom.
  8. Turn the fish and baste with the reserved marinade.
  9. Grill for an additional 5 to 7 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  10. Serve with lemon wedges, if desired.
