Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons Puritan oil
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons ice water

Instructions

  1. Combine all-purpose flour and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add Puritan oil and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in vinegar.
  4. Gradually add ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together.
  5. Form the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill before use.
  6. For a double crust, prepare as directed and double the ingredients.
