Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 2 c. warm water
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine, melted
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 4 c. self-rising flour

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the active dry yeast in warm water and let it sit until foamy.
  2. Add the beaten egg, melted margarine, and sugar to the yeast mixture; mix well.
  3. Stir in the self-rising flour until the dough becomes smooth and dough-like.
  4. Transfer the dough to a large airtight container and refrigerate until ready to use.
  5. When ready to bake, spoon the dough into a greased muffin pan.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
