Basic Tart Crust

Instructions
- In a small bowl, beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg yolk.
- Stir in flour and salt.
- Mix well.
- Add extract.
- Mix again.
- Chill 1 hour.
- Shape into 2 dozen one-inch balls.
- Place in tiny ungreased muffin cup.
- Can use small paper cups.
- Press dough on bottom and sides of cup.
- Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Cool slightly in pan.
- Remove carefully and cool well.
- Fill with desired filling.
