Ingredients

  • 3 lb. lean beef, cut into stew meat size
  • 4 onions, sliced
  • 1 green pepper, sliced
  • 1 large clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp. dry parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together in large pan; let stand for 30 minutes.
  2. Cook slowly for about an hour and 30 minutes or until meat becomes tender.
  3. Add water to sauce if it becomes too thick. Serve over rice or noodles.
  4. Yield:
