Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 16 oz. can pork and beans
  • 1/2 cup Kraft barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Velveeta pasteurized process cheese spread or slices
  • 8 oz. can Pillsbury refrigerated buttermilk or country style biscuits

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet and drain excess fat.
  3. Add pork and beans, barbecue sauce, chopped onion, and salt to the beef. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in 1/4 pound of Velveeta cubes until melted.
  5. Pour the mixture into a baking dish.
  6. Cut the biscuits in half to form half circles.
  7. Place the biscuit halves, cut side down, around the edge of the casserole.
  8. Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes.
  9. Top with additional Velveeta slices.
  10. Return to the oven until the cheese melts and is bubbly.
