Belle'S Famous Spaghetti

Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package label.
- Place spaghetti in strainer.
- Rinse with warm to cold water and drain.
- Slightly cover entire bottom of 10-inch skillet with salt, place layer of finely chopped onion and bell pepper over salt.
- Cover these ingredients with ground beef, topped with a generous amount of chili powder.
- Cook on low heat until beef begins to change color (approximately 12 minutes).
- Chop and stir until beef is thoroughly cooked.
- Dilute sauce with water and mix into spaghetti.
- Add more salt, chili powder, sugar and red pepper (if desired) to taste.
- Cover and simmer from 10 to 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
