Ingredients

  • 2 cups fruit
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

Instructions

  1. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately into milk and beat until smooth.
  2. Pour batter into a greased casserole dish.
  3. Put drained fruit over batter and sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar.
  4. Pour 1 cup juice over all.
  5. Bake at 375°F for about 45 minutes.
  6. As it bakes, the crust will rise to the top.
  7. Serve warm with plain or whipped cream.
