Ingredients

  • DRY INGREDIENTS:
  • 3 and 1/3 cups sifted flour
  • 2 tsp. Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2 cups pumpkin
  • Combine
  • 2/3 cups shortening
  • 2 2/3 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Sift all dry ingredients and set aside.
  2. Stir flour and pumpkin mixture alternately into the sugar mixture
  3. Pour into greased floured pans. Bake 45 minutes at 350.
