Betty'S Toffee Bars
Chewy, crunchy toffee bars with a chocolate and nut topping, perfect for sharing at parties or as a sweet treat for any occasion.

Instructions
- Line a cookie sheet with foil and spray well with nonstick spray.
- Line the cookie sheet with saltine crackers.
- In a saucepan, boil the sugar and butter until it comes to a rolling boil, stirring well.
- Pour the sugar mixture over the saltines on the prepared cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and evenly spread the milk chocolate chips over the hot toffee.
- Return the tray to the warm oven just long enough to melt the chocolate chips.
- Sprinkle crushed nuts over the melted chocolate.
- Let the tray cool in the refrigerator for several hours.
- Break into pieces and serve.
