Ingredients

  • 2 cups Presto flour
  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Place 1 cup flour and 1 cup sugar in a sifter.
  2. Top with 1 more cup flour and 1/2 cup sugar.
  3. Sift into a bowl and add milk, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Beat with an electric mixer for 20 minutes at medium speed.
  5. Place 1/2 cup broken walnuts into the bottom of a greased tube pan.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 50 to 55 minutes.
