Black Bing Cherry Salad

A refreshing cherry salad featuring black Bing cherries, nuts, and a light gelatin mold, perfect for festive occasions or elegant summer desserts.

Ingredients

  • 3 cans cherries
  • 1 1/4 cups sherry wine
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Knox gelatine
  • pecans or almonds

Instructions

  1. Mix the juice from one of the cans of cherries, sherry wine, 1 1/2 cups of orange juice, and 1 cup of sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Dissolve Knox gelatin in 1/2 cup of orange juice separately.
  3. Pour the hot mixture over the dissolved gelatin and stir until well combined.
  4. When the mixture is partially set, put cherries stuffed with pecans or almonds into the hot juice.
  5. Mold the mixture in a large ring or individual molds and refrigerate until set.
