Ingredients

  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach
  • 1 (16 oz.) can black-eyed peas, drained
  • 1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton commercial sour cream
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/3 c. dry vegetable soup mix
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • about 40 pumpernickel party bread slices

Instructions

  1. Combine the chopped spinach, drained black-eyed peas, chopped water chestnuts, sour cream, mayonnaise, vegetable soup mix, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  2. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly on pumpernickel party bread slices.
