Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. blueberries or blackberries
  • milk

Instructions

  1. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Add enough milk to mixture to make a stiff dough.
  3. Pat dough out on a floured board in oblong shape.
  4. Put berries on dough (I like to sprinkle with sugar) and roll up like a jelly roll.
  5. Pinch ends together. Seal real well.
  6. Place into pan with about 1 inch water.
  7. Use large enough pan as roll will double in size.
  8. Cover with lid. Bake at 350° until done.
  9. Sprinkle outside with sugar.
  10. Eat, enjoy and remember.
