Ingredients

  • 1 can pear halves
  • 1 can cling half peaches
  • 1 (9 oz.) can pineapple slices
  • 1 pkg. strawberry Jell-O
  • 1 medium stick cinnamon
  • 4 to 7 cloves
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • few drops red food coloring
  • 1/2 cup cherry brandy

Instructions

  1. Measure juice from the canned fruits and add water to make 2 1/2 cups of liquid.
  2. Combine the juice mixture with strawberry Jell-O, cinnamon, cloves, lemon juice, and red food coloring.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly until the Jell-O dissolves.
  4. Simmer the mixture for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the cherry brandy.
  6. Arrange the canned fruit in a glass shallow 2-quart baking dish.
  7. Pour the Jell-O mixture over the fruit and chill until set.
  8. Serve with whipped topping, if desired.
