- Remove crusts from bread and roll out flat with a rolling pin.
- Mix together cream cheese, egg yolk, sugar, and vanilla to make the filling.
- Spread 1 teaspoon of the cheese mixture on each bread slice and roll up.
- Melt butter and roll the bread rolls in the melted butter, then in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
- Place the rolls seam side down on a cookie sheet.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes.
- Cut the rolls in half and serve warm or cold.
