Ingredients

  • fruit (apples, blueberries or other)
  • cinnamon
  • sugar
  • loaf bread
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Toss the fruit with cinnamon and sugar to taste.
  2. Place the fruit mixture in the bottom of a baking pan.
  3. Cut the crust off the loaf bread.
  4. Cut the bread into 1-inch strips.
  5. Place the bread strips on top of the fruit in the pan.
  6. Mix the butter, sugar, and egg together.
  7. Pour the butter mixture over the bread strips.
  8. Bake at 350°F until the top is golden brown.
