Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Heat the butter, brown sugar, and water to boiling.
  2. Reduce heat to low and stir until the mixture is well combined.
  3. Add the bread crumbs and cinnamon, stirring until thoroughly mixed.
  4. Turn the mixture into an 8-inch pie pan and press into a uniform layer over the bottom and up the sides.
  5. Bake in a moderate oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
  6. Chill the crust and fill with any pre-cooked or chiffon pie filling.
