Brownie Cookie Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Melt 1/2 cup morsels and butter over hot (not boiling) water, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  2. Combine flour baking powder; set aside.
  3. Beat egg and sugar in large mixer bowl at high speed, about 3 minutes or until mixture is thick.
  4. Stir in vanilla and melted chocolate mixture.
  5. Gradually blend in flour mixture.
  6. Stir in remaining 1 cup chocolate chips.
  7. Drop by level tablespoons onto greased baking sheets.
  8. Bake in preheated 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 8 to 15 minutes or until cookies are puffed and tops are cracked and moist (cookies will look slightly underbaked).
  9. Baking time will depend on how small or big you make the cookies.
  10. Let stand for 5 minutes.
  11. Remove from baking sheets.
  12. Cool on wire racks.
