Ingredients

  • 12 slices bread
  • 1 lb Velveeta cheese
  • 2 cups sliced bacon or ham
  • 1/2 cup melted oleo
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 quart milk

Instructions

  1. Break bread into small pieces and place in a well-greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cut Velveeta cheese into cubes and sprinkle over the bread.
  3. Sprinkle ham or bacon over the cheese, then pour melted oleo (margarine) over the ham or bacon.
  4. Beat eggs with ground mustard, salt, and milk, then pour the mixture over the casserole.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator overnight.
  6. Bake uncovered in a preheated oven for 1 hour or until the casserole is firm.
