Bud'S Pear Preserves
Sweet and tangy pear preserves with lemon slices, perfect for spreading on toast or gifting. Bright flavors suited for breakfast, snacks, or dessert toppings.

- Peel a lemon, leaving some white on it, and slice it thin.
- For each pound of fruit, use 3/4 to 1 pound of sugar.
- Place the prepared pears and lemon slices in a bowl.
- Layer the pears with sugar, allowing the sugar to stand on the fruit overnight to make its own juice.
- Do not cover the mixture during this process.
- After the resting period, transfer the fruit and sugar mixture to a saucepan.
- Simmer uncovered for 2 hours or until the fruit is tender.
- Put the hot preserves into sterilized jars and seal.
