Ingredients

  • 3 large potatoes
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • bacon bits
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes.
  2. Cut each potato into six slices.
  3. Dry the potato slices with paper towels.
  4. Coat the potato slices evenly in 1/4 cup butter in a 2-quart baking dish.
  5. Add salt, pepper, and bacon bits to the dish.
  6. Bake, covered, in a single layer for 20 minutes.
  7. Uncover and baste the potatoes with the butter mixture.
  8. Bake uncovered for an additional 30 minutes.
