Instructions
- Press raw hamburger into the bottom of a 3-quart casserole dish.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Layer the can of kidney beans with juice on top of the hamburger layer.
- Sprinkle with chili powder.
- Add chopped onion in a layer.
- Top with sliced potatoes seasoned with salt, pepper, and sugar.
- Pour undrained chopped tomatoes over the top.
- Cover and bake in a 400°F oven for 1 hour.
- Remove the lid and bake for another 20 minutes to remove excess liquid.
