Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. quick cooking oats
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 3/4 c. peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add quick-cooking oats and mix well.
  3. Press the mixture into a 2-quart utility dish.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes until slightly firm to touch.
  5. Place semi-sweet chocolate morsels and peanut butter in a double boiler over boiling water.
  6. Stir until melted.
  7. Spread melted chocolate mixture over the warm oat mixture.
  8. Cool completely.
  9. Cut into squares and serve.
