Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cabbage (about 2 lb.)
  • 5 oz. spinach (1/2 bag)
  • 2 Tbsp. salad oil
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar

Instructions

  1. With a sharp knife, core and coarsely shred the cabbage.
  2. In a Dutch oven over high heat, heat 2 tablespoons of salad oil.
  3. Add the shredded cabbage, salt, and sugar; cook, stirring frequently, until the cabbage is tender-crisp, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the spinach; cook for 1 minute longer, stirring constantly.
