Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 4 to 6 medium potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
  • water
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Peel potatoes and cut into chunks.
  2. Place the potatoes in a large Dutch oven.
  3. Cut cabbage into quarters and place on top of the potatoes.
  4. Add bacon drippings over the cabbage.
  5. Add water until it covers the cabbage and potatoes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Bring to a boil and cook until the potatoes are done.
