Canned Fish Loaf

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 3/4 ounce) can salmon or (14 3/4 ounce) can mackerel, undrained
  • 1 cup crushed soda cracker crumbs (about 24)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup onion, chopped or diced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon crushed basil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 deg F.
  2. In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine all ingredients, and mix thoroughly.
  3. Press mixture into a lightly greased 9x5 loaf pan.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes or until done.
  5. Let stand 10 minutes before attempting to slice.
