Delicious caramel-nut pinwheels feature flaky breadsticks layered with rich caramel and crunchy pecans, making a sweet, nutty treat perfect for sharing at gatherings or as a decadent snack.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup caramel topping
  • 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 package (8) refrigerated breadsticks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a 9 x 1 1/2-inch round baking pan, stir together caramel topping and melted butter.
  3. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the caramel mixture.
  4. Separate the breadsticks without uncoiling them.
  5. Arrange the breadstick coils in the pan on top of the pecans and caramel mixture.
  6. Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden.
  7. Let stand for 2 to 3 minutes after baking.
  8. Loosen the sides and invert onto a serving platter.
  9. Spread any remaining caramel topping onto the rolls.
  10. Serve warm.
