Caramel Popcorn(Candy)

Ingredients

  • 3 qt. popped popcorn
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda

Instructions

  1. Put butter in 1 1/2-quart dish.
  2. Microwave on High 1 minute. Stir in sugar, syrup and salt.
  3. Cover and microwave on High 4 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven, stir in soda and vanilla.
  5. Pour over popcorn.
  6. Stir until all is coated and no sugar mixture remains in dish.
  7. Cook popcorn on High for 2 1/2 minutes.
  8. Stir well after each minute.
  9. Remove from oven.
  10. Spread in a lightly buttered 15 x 10-inch pan until cool.
  11. Break into chunks.
