Ingredients

  • 6 qt. popped corn
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1 tsp. butter flavoring
  • 1 tsp. baking soda

Instructions

  1. Put margarine, brown sugar, Karo syrup, and butter flavoring in a microwave-safe dish and cook on High until it boils.
  2. Stir and cook for 2 more minutes; then add baking soda and stir.
  3. Put popcorn in a large brown grocery bag; pour syrup in and stir. Close top of bag and shake.
  4. Microwave in bag on High for 1 1/2 minutes.
  5. Shake and repeat the microwave step two more times.
  6. Pour into a large bowl and stir until dry.
