Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cauliflower
  • 2 Tbsp margarine
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 c milk
  • 1 tsp hot English mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 c seasoned bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Strain the cooked cauliflower and break into pieces.
  2. Make a white sauce by putting margarine and cornstarch in a pan; stir until melted.
  3. Gradually beat in milk, a bit at a time, until the mixture reaches a custardy consistency.
  4. Add salt, pepper, and hot English mustard to the sauce.
  5. Pour the sauce over the cauliflower in a baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle seasoned bread crumbs and cheese on top.
  7. Bake at 350°F until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
