Ingredients

  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. packed dark brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 12 oz. chocolate chips
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Sift flour, baking soda, and salt onto wax paper.
  2. Combine sugar, butter, and water in a large saucepan.
  3. Cook, stirring constantly, until butter is melted.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips and partially melt the chocolate.
  5. Remove the pan from heat and continue to stir until the chocolate is completely melted.
  6. Pour the mixture into a large bowl and let stand about 5 minutes to cool.
