Sweet and fragrant Chanukah rolls filled with a luscious prune cinnamon mixture, perfect for festive gatherings or a cozy treat with family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. pitted prunes
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. orange juice
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 stick sweet butter, melted
  • 2 (8 oz.) packages crescent rolls
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring 1 cup of water and prunes to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes.
  2. Drain and mash the prunes.
  3. Add cinnamon, orange juice, lemon juice, sugar, and melted butter; mix well.
  4. Unroll the crescent rolls and spread the prune filling evenly over each sheet.
  5. Roll up the crescent dough around the filling and cut into individual pieces if desired.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
