- In a 1 1/2-quart saucepan, combine cornmeal and cold water. Add boiling water and cook over high heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil and thickens.
- Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring occasionally until mixture is smooth, 25 to 30 minutes.
