Ingredients

  • 4 cups potatoes, sliced
  • water to cover
  • 1/4 pound Velveeta cheese
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Cook potato slices covered with water until tender.
  2. In a shallow casserole dish, layer the cooked potatoes.
  3. Add a layer of Velveeta cheese, then season with salt and pepper.
  4. Repeat layering until all potatoes and cheese are used.
  5. Pour enough of the cooking water over the layered ingredients to almost cover them.
  6. Bake in a 350°F oven until the cheese is melted and slightly browned.
