Cherry Almond Muffins

- Beat egg, stir in milk, oil, cherry syrup and almond extract. Mix in flour, 1/4 cup sugar, cherries, baking powder and salt, just until flour is moistened.
- Fill 12 muffin cups 2/3 full.
- Mix 2 Tbsp. sugar and 2 Tbsp. chopped almonds.
- Sprinkle over batter in muffin tins.
- Bake at 375° for 25 minutes.
