Instructions
- Beat butter and cream cheese until soft and creamy; gradually add sugar.
- Add egg yolk with extract; mix well.
- Stir in flour. Cover and chill about 1 hour.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls; dip tops in beaten egg white, then almonds.
- Place on lightly greased pan; press a cherry half in top and bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
