Ingredients

  • 3 sticks Imperial margarine
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups Wondra flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups walnut halves
  • 2 (10 oz.) jars drained maraschino cherries

Instructions

  1. Grease a tube pan and dust it with flour.
  2. Combine margarine and powdered sugar until creamy.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Add flour, vanilla, and salt; mix until smooth.
  5. Fold in walnut halves and halved maraschino cherries.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  7. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 1 1/2 hours.
  8. Remove from oven and let it sit for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
  9. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
