Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 sticks oleo or butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream together sugar and oleo or butter.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Add sifted flour and fold in well.
  4. Pour batter into a tart pan.
  5. Make squares in the batter with a toothpick.
  6. Place a spoonful of your favorite filling into each square.
  7. Bake in a 350°F oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
  8. Test with a toothpick for doneness.
  9. When cool, dust with powdered sugar.
