Ingredients

  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups all-bran cereal
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup oleo
  • 1 quart buttermilk
  • 5 teaspoons soda
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 5 cups flour
  • 4 cups bran flakes

Instructions

  1. Pour the boiling water over the all-bran cereal and let it soak until cooled.
  2. Add sugar, oleo, buttermilk, soda, beaten eggs, salt, and flour to the soaked cereal mixture.
  3. Stir in the bran flakes until well combined.
  4. Pour the batter into greased muffin tins.
  5. Bake in a 350°F oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
