Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. shortening
  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup Bisquick
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  1. Put shortening and butter in a pan; place in the oven to melt.
  2. Mix Bisquick, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Roll the chicken in the Bisquick mixture until well coated.
  4. Place coated chicken in the pan with melted shortening and butter.
  5. Bake at 400°F for 1 hour, turning halfway through for even browning.
