Chicken Mole

Ingredients

  • 1 cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 clove garlic, diced
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Gebhardt chili powder
  • 4 oz. chicken broth

Instructions

  1. In a pan of boiling water, add the chicken breast with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Cook for 30 to 40 minutes.
  3. Cool and shred the chicken.
  4. In a frying pan, heat shortening; add garlic and brown slightly.
  5. Add flour and stir until well blended.
  6. Gradually stir in chili powder.
  7. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  8. Add shredded chicken breast and cook for 3 to 5 minutes.
