Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 lb hen or 6 chicken breasts
  • 1 to 2 sticks margarine
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • biscuit dough (approximately 2 c.)
  • 2 Tbsp flour

Instructions

  1. Cook chicken until tender; remove all bones and skin.
  2. In a large pan, arrange a layer of chicken and 1/2 cup margarine.
  3. Roll dough and cut into strips.
  4. Place strips over chicken.
  5. Alternate this step until all chicken has been used.
  6. Pour chicken broth over the layered chicken and dough.
  7. Roll out the top crust and place it on the pie, then slit the center.
  8. Brush the top with melted margarine.
  9. Bake in a 350° to 375° oven until golden brown.
