Ingredients

  • 1 fryer, cut up or 6 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 1 cup rice or small box Minute rice
  • 1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
  • 1 can water
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle dry onion soup mix over the bottom of a baking dish.
  2. Add uncooked rice on top of the onion soup mix.
  3. Place the chicken pieces on top of the rice.
  4. Combine the cream of chicken or mushroom soup with water.
  5. Pour the soup mixture over the chicken and rice.
  6. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and paprika on top.
  7. Cover the dish and bake at 300°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Do not open while baking.
